COME SKI WITH US! Sno-Cat Ski Club is an organization with membership participating in year round activities. The Club includes members from the Westchester, Connecticut and major Metropolitan area. Our common enthusiasm for skiing fosters friendships and camaraderie among its members. We have events\ throughout the spring, summer and fall seasons with a variety of fun organized activities and year round use of the Club owned ski lodge in Mendon, Vermont, which is just two miles from Pico and a ten minute ride from the Killington Ski Resort. The Lodge has comfortable bedrooms set up bunk style, which easily can accommodate up to thirty five people and six bathrooms. There is a large dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge with a circular fireplace. On Saturday evenings, a cook prepares an excellent dinner to top off a busy day of skiing and other athletic activities. A ski storage area with ample room to hold ski gear is located on the lower floor near the main entrance. Members range from the most earnest and eager beginners to very advanced skiers. During the winter season the Club members enjoy weekdays and weekends on the slopes of the area ski resorts and trails for cross-country skiing. We participate in an organized ski race for all levels of skiing ability once a year, which also includes an Awards Dinner in the spring. Other traditional events held each year are a family Christmas Party, Clam Bake, Summer Picnic and a Fall Bike Ride. of the Club and Lodge. The Board includes a President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and other elected club members. There is also an editor and publisher of the monthly newsletter, The Boot Press and a reservation person for the Lodge. The club meets at the American Legion Hall in Mamaroneck on the first and third Wednesday of every month from September through April and once a month from May through August. The area has a wealth of resources for hiking, kayaking, canoeing, bicycling, horseback riding, golfing and many other activities. There are two major golf courses only ten minutes away, the Killington Golf Course and Green Mountain National Golf Course. Green Mountain has been voted the No.1 Public Course in Vermont! Both courses offer a variety of golfing experiences, from the novice to the truly advanced in beautiful and attractive surroundings. Sno-Cat Ski Club has a governing Board of Officers who oversee the operation If you ski or would like to learn to ski, have an interest in the outdoors and socializing with other skiers, we look forward to seeing you at our meetings.
